Upgrade your V1 Alien8 into the new 2026 Body!
 
This conversion takes all the internals of your cable tail + side mount Alien8 (the 2 capsules and the transformer) and installs them in one of our brand new mic bodies. This Upgraded Alien8 also comes with a standard mic holder but if you want to upgrade the upgrade, you can also choose to get a discounted, by 33%, Deluxe Mic Mount.
 
Apart from adding a new lease of life to your Alien8, the new body has some sonic benefits. As the Alien8 is now thinner, the capsules are 5mm closer to the grills. This increases the proximity effect and gives you more low end when you mic something super close. Another change is that the new inbuilt grills are more acoustically transparent for high frequencies, giving the Alien8 a subtle clarity boost in the top end.
 
Because this is for a mic you already own, these are the steps involved with ordering the Upgrade.
 
1. Place your order for the Upgrade, you will be charged for the Upgrade plus the return shipping to you.
 
2. Send your Alien8 to us with any shipping service you want to use. You pay for this shipping (we recommend paying for insurance too) so we recommend sending your Alien8 without its case to keep costs down. The address to send your Alien8 to is...

3. Once your Alien8 arrives with us, the Upgrade will be done within 1 week and your converted microphone will then be sent back to you. Within Australia we use AusPost Express, and for our international friends, we use DHL Express.
