The original Alien8 came with a side mount and a cable tail but in order to streamline the mic, in October 2024 we changed over to a simpler design. If you have an original Alien8 but like the look of the new style, then send us your mic and we will convert it for you.
Included in the conversion price is the removal of the side mount and cable tail from your Alien8 and the installation of the new bottom internal xlr section. We also install the top logo plate plus you get a new Deluxe Mic Mount to hold your new look Alien8.
The only difference between a converted Alien8 and a brand new one is 2 small plastic plugs that fill the body holes left by side mount and cable tail (see pics 2 and 3). The sound of your Alien8 will not change.
Because this is for a mic you already own, these are the steps involved with ordering the conversion.
1. Place your order for the conversion which will include the conversion price, plus your return shipping with DHL Express.
2. Send your Alien8 to us with any shipping service you want to use. You pay for this shipping yourself (we recommend paying for insurance too) and the address to use is...

3. Once your Alien8 arrives with us, the conversion will be done within 1 week and your converted mic and new mount will then be sent back to you.
Alien8 Original to New Body Conversion
If your country of residence collects import tariffs and taxes (which now includes the USA), you will be contacted by your local Customs Agency through DHL and charged when your items arrive in your country. Only residents of Australia will have 10% GST added at the checkout.
